Boys Bedrooms
Decorating boys bedrooms can be exciting and fun. Choose a theme that your boy will love and the decorating fun begins. When a boy outgrows the baby furniture, stuffed bunnies and bears, it's time to choose a big boy theme for his room. He is starting to have friends over and will want to show off his bedroom decorations.

You know your child best. What are his likes? What are his favorite colors? Is he into sports or does he want to be a scientist? No matter what it is, you are sure to find matching bedroom decor in his favorite theme. Many boys bedrooms are decorated in character themes purchased from your local department store. This is the easiest way to redecorate since department stores often have a large selection of coordinating items. From super heroes to the latest craze in cartoons, you will find matching bedspreads, lamps and picture frames.
If you are seeking that one of a kind theme, try coordinating items yourself. If your son is into the bug scene, you may find a leaf shaped rug, curtains printed with ladybugs, and a lizard covered bedspread. Though these items were not sold as a set for boys bedrooms, they are from the same theme. Hang a butterfly catcher on the wall and even better, hang beside it a grouping of butterflies. Lamps are found in just about any form, from turtle shapes to leaping frogs. Hang mosquito netting over the bed and your son will be all set for a buggy night.
Another unique theme is for the budding astronaut. Paint the ceiling blue and add glow-in-the-dark stars. Boys bedrooms with hanging planets will inspire any child to become an astronaut. Curtains, bedspread, and pillows can be found with a star or planet theme. If you want to take your decorating even further, some bedroom set companies offer beds inside a wooden shuttle. Your son will enjoy playing in his bedroom as much as sleeping there. Any unique bed will be enjoyed and is often the favorite place to play in any boys bedroom.
