Bedroom Toys

There are many options of storage when it comes to a child's bedroom toys. If your child's bedroom is filled with toys and no where to put them, storage possibilities are endless. Are you looking for storage for many items or just a few? If you need to find storage for a collection of stuffed animals, you will need to decide if you want them displayed or not. Shelving is useful in displaying collectibles. Under bed storage or a hamper may suit you better if you want them out of sight. Try adding plant hooks from the ceiling to add a colorful hammock. Tossing your stuffed toys into the hammock is easy and fun for young children. This also keeps toys off the floor leaving plenty of floor room for playtime.

Open storage is one way to store bedroom toys. Bookshelves are common in children's room but not necessarily used only for books. Add games or collections if you don't mind having them in full view. Often an open bookshelf can make a room look cluttered. If a more organized space is what you are looking for, try adding clear or colored storage bins to the book shelves. This makes it easy for even the youngest set to put their toys away. To avoid a bookshelf from appearing cluttered, have your child select only a few bedroom toys for display. Keeping three or four toys on a low open bookcase makes for an easy access and clean up for your child.

Closets and dressers are considered closed storage. When toys are stacked on the floor or bed, it's best to get them into closed storage. Try stacking storage bins in the closet. Use clear bins with lids for easy viewing and access. This way a child can find toys quickly and simply. Keep bins stacked low for younger children. Use a permanent marker to label each bin, making it even easier for a child to pick up his room. The younger child who isn't yet reading can easily identify photos or cut-outs of his favorite toys, taped to the bins.

Storing bedroom toys in a storage unit, garage, or hall closet is sometimes your best bet. Place a few toys in your child's bedroom and each month rotate these toys. Children enjoy seeing their toys again and it will be as if they are brand new.
