Baby Bedrooms
Nurserys are fun and exciting to decorate. If you know the gender of your baby, it will be easier to select a theme for the nursery. Baby bedrooms are often done in neutral colors if the gender is unknown. Though pale yellow is the most popular color for a non-gender room, try a soft green, tan, or bright primary colors. Wallpaper is also a choice to consider; offering animals, bible themes, and general ABC type themes in bright colors. Decorating a nursery is probably one of the most exciting things to accomplish, making the wait for a baby bearable. Remember, there is a time limit when decorating the nursery. It should be complete in plenty of time for the baby's arrival. Baby’s should not be exposed to paint fumes or tacky glue from the new wallpaper.

Choosing a neutral color for the walls of baby bedrooms will make it easier to decorate. Furniture can be purchased or painted to add color to the room. This will help if you don't yet know the gender of the baby. You can add a pink lamp or a blue framed photo to the room once the sonogram is done or once the baby arrives. Most parents today are asking for the gender information. This can be a big help in decorating any baby bedrooms and also in purchasing baby bedding and baby clothing for the infant. If you know the gender, there will be hundreds of options when selecting a theme. When choosing a theme for the nursery take into consideration your own likes and dislikes. Will you enjoy sitting in a brightly colored room each day when you are rocking your child to sleep? Would you prefer a more soothing color on the walls? Are you a fan of a popular cartoon character or would you rather decorate with a generic bear motif?
Once you've decided on the nursery theme you will need to check on items offered with that particular pattern. What colors will match the chosen theme? Some items can be a solid matching color, such as a lamp or changing table cover. You won't want to over use the selected theme causing a confusing and cluttered look to the nursery. Baby bedrooms are often kept simple and inviting. Try using wall to ceiling borders instead of a busy all-over wall paper. Leave space in the room for those late night when your baby needs to be held. A cramped room is no fun for a baby and certainly not for you.
